About Us
We Are
CALDWELL
The Caldwell First Nation’s 230-year-old land claim was recognised in 2010. Yet, the First Nation had to go through a 10-year bureaucratic process before gaining Reserve Status in 2020. Caldwell’s traditional grounds extend from the Detroit River to Long Point on the north bank of Lake Erie, including Point Pelee National Park. To get to where we are now, our ancestors had to travel a great distance.

We are thrilled to be beginning new endeavours on the reserve, including 40 new residences, a new marina adjacent to Point Pelee, a new restaurant, and other interesting initiatives. Our traditional holdings extend from the Detroit River to Long Point on Lake Erie’s north shore, and we’re happy to be able to share our past with our new customers. We are building something for our future generations and for the prosperity of the local community. This new adventure is one that we can all share in.
By choosing Caldwell Gas & Variety, you become a part of our journey towards creating a better future for our region.
